The Northern Province Governor Aime Bosenibamwe has called upon residents of Kinigi sector in Musanze District to utilize their fertile land and the booming tourism sector for their social-economic advancement.

The governor was visiting Kinigi sector on Wednesday Novemeber 27, 2013 during his Northern Province tour.
Governor Aime Bosenibamwe reminded the residents of Kinigi sector that they have an endowed sector and that they should make good use of its richness to attain the needed development levels.
“Make us of the advantages you have and put in place infrastructures such as small scale industries, arts and crafts and better agriculture,” said the governor
The governor called upon the people of Kinigi sector to put much effort in agriculture and to plant more sustaining crops that would support the food crops they usually farm.
Governor Bosenibamwe also reminded the residents to always maintain their security.
“Our province was the insecurity grounds in 1990’s. We need to take care of our own security by encouraging night patrols, knowing new people around and be keen on whatever might destroy what we have built so far.”

In Kinigi, some farmers have already started making changes in their endeavors while planning for the future with the aim of developing the sctor. One of these farmers is Fidele Munyambonera a farmer residing in Nyonirima cell of Kinigi sector.
Apart from growing Irish Potatoes and Pyrethrum, Fidele Munyambonera grew Prune fruits on 15 hectares land as a way to improve his financial status.
